Fahredin GUNGA

The enthusiasm characteristic of Kosova poetry of the sixties can be seen in the early works of Fahredin Gunga (1936-1997) who was born in Mitrovica. Gunga studied in Belgrade and worked for Rilindja Publishing Company in Prishtina. His verse production has shown him to be a poet of searching, though at times nebulous ideas, whose abstract symbolism and abstruse metaphors often take an unexpected surrealist turn. He is the author of nine poetry collections from 1961 to 1996.
